- Absolutely no running
- Ropes are used as life lines & therefore should be left alone.
- No dunking, pushing, or throwing anyone into water (no chicken)
- No splashing lifeguard
- No flotation devices (innertubes, etc.) in shallow or deep end. Floatation devices should not be used when pool is crowded.
- No children with "floaties" permitted in deep end.
- Tag is allowed only with permission of lifeguard.
- Only infants (4 and under who are non-swimmers) are allowed in the baby pool at any time. Because the pool is not guarded, it must be supervised by an adult inside the fenced area. This is a state requirement & must be observed.
- Breaks serve two purposes: They give the lifeguard a break, and give adults fifteen minutes peaceful use of the pool. Therefore the rule is that only babies, one year and younger are allowed in the pool during break with an adult. Also for safety reasons children are not allowed near the pool when a lifeguard is not on duty.
- The pool is divided into 3 sections. The deep end is for diving and swimming. The middle section is for swimming & playing (flotation devices, soft balls etc.) The shallow section is primarily for young and/or beginner swimmers. Older swimmers should stay primarily out of the shallow end.
- Hard balls, including tennis balls, are not allowed in the pool area at any time, because they can cause serious injuries.
- Ladders should be used for entering and leaving the pool, and should not be blocked at any time.
- No diving in shallow sections.
- No jumping, diving, or sitting on diving board wall.
- No swimming under or around diving board.
- Only dive or jump straight off the front of the diving board, and swim immediately away to the side or shallow section. There will be no hanging on the board, and only one on the board at a time.
